IBB Make Up Challenge June 2014 with SILKYGIRL: Be Bold, Be Smokey + Tutorial

During my not-yet-three-months blogging life, I finally decided to join a makeup challenge held by IBB themed "Be Bold Be Smokey" sponsored SILKYGIRL. Actually I decided to join partly because it's my holiday already and I had nothing to do at home and smokey look is something I've always wanted to try creating. So, I do hope all of you wishing me a lot of luck ^^

If you're interested in joining this MUC, click the banner below for more information ^^

I actually prepared two looks for the submission. The first one is smokey brown while the second one is smokey plum. And this is the first time I use contact lenses in my tutorial *just learnt how to put them in*.

For both of the looks, as usual apply daily skin care, primer, and BB cream. Do conceal every of the skin flaws. I apply concealer twice, first before applying BB cream using liquid concealer and second after applying BB cream using stick concealer.

P.S. please do excuse my failed eyebrows, shaved it way too much ><

Set the BB cream with face powder. This time I use loose powder and apply it lightly with brush. I only use sponge on the areas where it tends to get oily and where I applied concealer.

Contour (black lines) below cheekbones, forming 3 shape, and contour the nose. Use highlighter (red lines) on the apple of the cheeks, chin and T-zone. I'm still learning on how to contour so I'm sorry if it's not perfect.

Do excuse my awkward smile ._.v

First Look

Apply orange blush (alternatives: coral or peach) on the apple of your cheeks just slightly.

Apply red lip tint (or lipstick if you prefer) all over your lips.

Finish off with loose powder and the first look is done! ^^

Tips and Tricks

1. Use subtle colors for the cheeks since the eyes and lips are already that bold.
2. Apply the eyeshadow a little above the crease for smokier effect.

Final First Look

idk why but I think I look like a vampire in this photo ....

Second Look

I use my pink lip tint as a blush since I don't have pink blush on (I don't really like pink blush but I think pink blush suit this look the most). Apply on the apple of the cheeks.

Apply pink lipstick, topped with lavender/purple lip tint.

sorry for my chapped lips TT

Finish off with loose powder and the second look is completed.

Tips and Tricks

1. Apply the eyeshadow a little above the crease for smokier effect
2. Apply the eyeliner thicker than you usually do and create sharper and longer wings.

Final Second Look
