Through Dewi's (pinkuroom) entry for my previous giveaway, she asked me to do a makeup tutorial that is outside my comfort zone (e.g. natural makeup, ulzzang makeup) like the vampire-inspired makeup tutorial I did before for Halloween. Therefore, I decided to make this smokey red look which is quite different from my other tutorials. Don't forget to let me know what you think ^^
- Apply primer evenly to your entire face [Tony Moly's Expert Smoothing Primer].
- Apply foundation [Benefit's Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow] and conceal any imperfections with concealer [Tony Moly's Prestige Dual Carat Concealer].
- Set the foundation with loose powder and apply more powder to the oily areas such as eyelid, nose, and hair line [The Body Shop's Extra Virgin Minerals Loose Powder Foundation].
- Apply eye primer onto you entire eyelid [Etude House's Proof10 Eye Primer].
- Apply matte red eyeshadow on 3/4 of your eyelid from the inner corner [Burning Red].
- Add dark navy blue eyeshadow (or black) on the outer V, then blend [All Night].
- Using a pointy-edged eyeshadow brush, create a sharp wing with the same dark navy blue eyeshadow [All Night].
- Draw a winged eyeliner in the direction of your previous winged eyeshadow [Etude House's Drawing Show Brush Liner BK801].
- On the lower outer corner, add the same dark navy blue eyeshadow (alternatives: black eyeshadow, dark navy blue eyeliner, black eyeliner) with pointy-edged eyeshadow brush [All Night].
- On the lower inner corner, add shimmery white eyeliner to brighten up the eye [Etude House's Styling Eyeliner #02].
- Curl up your eyelashes and apply mascara [Etude House's Lash Perm Mascara].
- Apply your choice of fake lashes [Too Cool For School Lash No 7].
- Contour your cheek, nose, and hair line. Highlight your cheekbones, T-zone, and chin [3CE Magic Touch Face Maker]. (Contour-Highlight tips here)
- Apply peachy-pink blush on your cheekbones [Etude House's Lovely Cookie Blusher #10].
- Apply red lip gloss (or lipstick) onto your entire lips [Max Factor's Colour Elixir Gloss #30].
